Toronto Raptors star guard Kyle Lowry was one of several victims of a multi-million dollar jewelry-theft and burglary ring in the Philadelphia area, according to reports.
The ring operated for roughly two years, and targeted wealthy homes in several, mostly-suburban neighbourhoods. One victim lost more than $600,000 in jewelry, said CBS Philadelphia, quoting court documents.
The owner of a jewelry store where many stolen items were allegedly sold was arrested last week, according to the Associated Press. Last July, four suspected burglars were arrested. The robberies took place during 2015 and 2016.
Lowry is originally from Philadelphia and lives in the suburban Main Line neighbourhood during the off-season.
