When I began this series on potential draftees for the Toronto Raptors with their #20 selection, I pledged to stay away from analyzing those picks who were out of range. Several weeks ago, Kelly Oubre, the swingman from Kansas University, was one of those. Most mock drafts had him somewhere late in the lottery (i.e., #10 through #14).
However, in one of those did-he-fall-or-was-he-pushed situations, Oubre’s stock has been heading down. Moke Hamilton at Basketball Insiders actually has him as the Raps’ choice. That’s good enough for me; let’s take a look.
Oubre stands 6’6″, is 19, and weighs in at a well-proportioned 203 lbs.
