It's after the All-Star break and we have some good news: James Johnson is back to practising with the Toronto Raptors.
Could the Raptors trade James Johnson in the next few hours? It's a distinct possibility. The Raptors don't exactly have a lot of salary ballast to move around, despite an obvious need at power forward. Patrick Patterson (the team's best power forward) is the name that comes up most often in trade talks, thanks to his $6.2 million year. But Johnson is in the mix. He's getting $2.5 million in the final year of his deal and has useful NBA skills -- secondary ball handling, elite driving ability, on-ball defensive power.
