It’s the fans who pay the price when NBA stars sit. How can the problem be solved?

In an NBA campaign where the Raptors have hit more low points than highs, Josh McConnell considers himself a season-ticket holder like no other. The longtime Raptors fan calls himself a “sucker” because he’ll go to every game at Scotiabank Arena, regardless whether his team is expected to lose.

“There are some season seat holders that don’t care because they just sell the tickets for a big game like Lakers or Warriors to make some cash,” says McConnell, who’s in his eighth year as a season-ticket holder and recognizes that not everyone is fortunate enough to get such access.
