MILWAUKEE—The shots rang in from every point on the court, layups and three-pointers and mid-range jumpers, as the Raptors and Milwaukee Bucks showed flashes of the offensive beauty that is basketball. They also showed just how crazily unpredictable the game can be.
Not two weeks ago, these same teams slogged it through one of the weirdest games you’ll see: 17 straight missed shots by the Raptors to start the game, a 13-12 Milwaukee lead after a full quarter, neither team shooting better than 40 per cent for the night.
Tuesday was different.
In what was a shootout from the start — Milwaukee had 44 points in the first quarter, Toronto had 74 in the first half — the Bucks pulled away in the final three minutes for a 130-122 victory at the Fiserv Forum.
