The New York Knicks are terrible. The Dallas Mavericks aren’t much better. How could a trade between two inconsequential teams possibly impact the Toronto Raptors? This year, it can’t. However, it might have an impact on the Raptors long-term plans.
Hide your guards, hide your forwards, hide your centers, cuz the New York Knicks have cap space and they’ll be trying to sign up everybody out here (I apologize if you don’t get that reference). It’s easy to clown the franchise trading away the most promising young player the franchise has seen since Patrick Ewing, but if the Knicks know something, the deal might be the league’s worst nightmare.
