It’s been a tough slog for a depleted Raptors roster robbed of its best player but no one’s too put out with where the team finds itself.
They have treaded water quite well in eight games without Pascal Siakam and a handful of them minus other key contributors as well and, in the grand scheme of things, holding serve is almost like winning.
They’ve gone 4-4 since Siakam suffered a strained adductor muscle that still has him on the sidelines. While that could be better, it could have been worse and the fact they haven’t lost touch with the upper half of the Eastern Conference is reason for optimism.
