PHOENIX, Ariz.—Put the time of death just before 8 p.m. Mountain Time here Friday night, the moment when Gary Trent Jr. dispatched a shooting slump that has dogged him for more than a week.
The end came suddenly and almost out of nowhere: one made three-pointer then another and then one more, all part of a 13-point second quarter that announced the Raptors shooter is back.
Trent finished with eight three-pointers and 42 points — the most he has had in a game since Feb. 10 — as the Raptors pulled out an impressive 117-112 win over the Phoenix Suns.
