IT WAS OVER WHEN
Jimmy Butler made one of two free throws to put the Bulls up two with 5.9 seconds remaining and then made the defensive play of the game, stripping DeMar DeRozan on a lay-up attempt with 0.7 seconds remaining. The swipe sealed a 109-107 victory for an undermanned Chicago team after a wild fourth quarter flurry from the Raptors. The loss moves Toronto to 44-21 on the season.
UNDERMANNED AND DANGEROUS
Chicago was without Derrick Rose (left adductor strain), Pau Gasol (right knee swelling) and Mike Dunleavy (stomach virus), but had Jimmy Butler return to the lineup after missing his previous three games because of left knee soreness.
