A team swept out of the playoffs and with holes in the roster has to take advantage of every opportunity to improve, and the most important time do that will soon be upon the Raptors and team president Masai Ujiri.
The NBA’s free-agent period begins Wednesday and Ujiri is primed like no other time in franchise history.
He can’t wait to get started.
“Our eyes are all open now,” he said.
Ujiri can add players by directly signing them, by using the league’s sign-and-trade provision to turn assets into better ones, or by making trades into into the substantial salary cap space available to Ujiri.
