Everyone has one of those days when nothing goes right, when things are just off for any number of reasons and the performance — at work, home, wherever — isn’t up to expectations.
Usually, those days come in front of a very tiny circle of family, friends and co-workers and life goes on.
Fred VanVleet had one of those nights on Friday in front of about 20,000 strangers at his place of employment, with a few hundred thousand others watching it unfold around the world.
It’s part and parcel of the job he takes tremendously seriously, one he knows full well he’ll do better the next time he gets a chance.
