Toronto Raptors have not shown the killer instinct lately, and that weakness cost them a victory. The Chicago Bulls received one of the greatest performances by an opponent I’ve seen, as Jimmy Butler shredded the home team for 42 points, 40 of them in the second half. A comfortable Raptors lead, which was 12 with 6 minutes to play, disappeared under a relentless Chicago attack which included several impossible shots from Butler. The Raptors’ offense, as it so often does, became iso-crazy, with DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry taking and missing virtually all the shots.
The buzzer sounded as DeRozan hoisted up a 3-ball which hit back iron.
