Coming into training camp, Ronald Roberts was all but guaranteed a roster spot on the Toronto Raptors 15-man rotation. With Anthony Bennett’s buy-out from the Timberwolves and subsequent signing with the Raptors, it burst that bubble for the 24-year old journeyman.
Roberts currently plays on the Raptors D-League team, the Raptors 905. He had an early season injury but has come back as anticipated with an energy, ‘jonny-on-the-spot’ role. Although he has never played in the NBA, he has the size and athleticism to play a high-energy reserve role on any NBA team suffering from lack of depth.
