With the 20th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, the Toronto Raptors select Delon Wright out of Utah.
Position: Point Guard/Shooting Guard
School: Utah
Class: Senior
Measurables: 6’5”, 180 lbs.
Analysis:
Wright was the motor that made the Utah Utes run during their Sweet 16 run last postseason, providing both entertainment value as a passer/scorer and an efficiency to his decision making that made all of the weapons around him that much better. He has great length for a combo guard (although he needs to bulk up in the weight room), and he has an arsenal of tricky Euro steps that are made even more deadly by his top-level body control. If he can work on getting more consistency out of his jump shot from the mid-range on out, Wright stands as one of the best draft steal bets of the 2015 class.
