Zach Hyman leaves Maple Leafs game after a kneeing from Alex Edler

In the second period of the Maple Leafs game vs the Canucks, in their first game back after a long layoff with an epic COVID-19 outbreak, this happened:

Alex Edler had been on the ice for more than three minutes, and this is how he managed to get off the ice, and out of the game. Supplementary discipline is likely, but it won’t be a nice satisfying number, particularly not when he already got five and a game.

Meanwhile Zach Hyman did not return to the game, which is wise in any case at this point in the season, but it does raise an interesting dilemma if he’s hurt long term.
