It’s been a relatively quiet week in the world of women’s hockey. A few signings and front office hires but nothing world-shaking in the big picture. But the offseason is long for North American pro teams and a lot has happened. Consider this your primer if you need to get caught up with the summer so far.
For the first time in a while, the Hockey Hall of Fame selection committee chose to name a woman to the Hall in consecutive years. This year it was Jayna Hefford, a star on the international stage with Team Canada, as well as at the league level.
