Roman Polak’s deal with the Dallas Stars is said to be a one-year contract. Polak spent four seasons in Toronto, minus one period after he was traded to the San Jose Sharks at the deadline. He played around 55 games each season, barring one 75-game season, and he had a remarkably consistent points record: Nine, 13, 11 and 12 for the Leafs.
