The Toronto Marlies hosted the Albany Devils for Game 2 of the second round at Ricoh Coliseum.
The first period was one that was decent but sloppy. Marlies head coach Sheldon Keefe added, "I thought in Game 1 we actually had a better start than we did today, I thought we were on top of them, I thought they were better today, they played harder, they played faster which we fully expected them to do."
The Marlies were attempting too many long passes out of their own zone, which led to the Devils being able to step up on the Marlies forwards trying to receive the passes in the neutral zone.
