The Toronto Marlies game seven match againt Albany didn’t come without theatrics.
Down 2-1, the Marlies rallied and went up 3-2 only to be tied after an Albany goal. Shortly after, out of all people to score, Rich Clune scored his first professional playoff goal of his career to give the Toronto Marlies the win.
The Marlies win doesn’t come without questions, though, as Antoine Bibeau struggled near the end of the series. There were some thoughts that Garret Sparks would get the start in game seven, but that clearly wasn’t the case.
Sparks demolished the American Hockey League this year but hasn’t won the cage back since returning from his Tank Quest with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
