Prior to the start of the 2023-24 NHL season, the Toronto Maple Leafs, we assume, did all they could in trying to reach an extension deal with forward William Nylander. Unfortunately, it didn’t come to fruition as the season eventually started.
Despite being one of the members of the “core four” on the Toronto Maple Leafs, he has often been playing in the shadows of Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, and captain John Tavares.
However, whenever he was on his game, his puck-handling, creativity, and on-ice dominance could arguably be the best on the team.
Don’t look now, but it appears as though Nylander has raised his game to another level and has definitely come to play this NHL season.
