Toronto Maple Leafs: Solving the Nikita Soshnikov Equation

One of them is in regards to Nikita Soshnikov and how to fit him into the Toronto Maple Leafs lineup.

There’s always the possibility that he doesn’t fit into the lineup either, but we’ll go with the former to envoke conversation, to start at least.

The 23-year-old went undrafted and was signed by the Leafs to a three-year entry-level contract with a cap hit of $736,667 on March 22, 2015.

He’s entering his last year under contract and will expire as a restricted free agent, meaning the Leafs will have a little more power in negotiations if any.
