Toronto Maple Leafs first round pick this year, Mitch Marner, finally has his entry level devel.
The @MapleLeafs have signed Mitch Marner to a 3-year entry-level contract. Marner was selected 4th in last month’s NHL Entry Draft. #TMLtalk

Marner’s deal won’t count against the 50 contract limit so long as he’s returned to the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League – which is likely going to be the case.
Signing Marner is essentially just a check in the box move that was under no strenuous time-frame to get done, but it’s nice to have crossed off the list.
