Whether the Toronto Maple Leafs get swept in the First Round or win the Stanley Cup, the team should not change anything they’re doing.
With another playoff-berth, the Toronto Maple Leafs are now tied with the Boston Bruins for the most consecutive seasons (seven) making the playoffs. Not too shabby for a franchise who’s the laughing-stock of the NHL, eh?
That statistic should show you everything about where this team is. However, people continue to overlook the regular season success and focus on the playoff failure. I can understand the reasoning for that, but isn’t it harder to make the playoffs in an 82 game season every year compared to winning one playoff round?
