Although an injection of youth was expected to add more scoring, no one could have expected four rookies to reach 20 goals. This hasn’t happened yet, but Toronto Maple Leafs rookies William Nylander, Mitch Marner and Connor Brown are closing in on the milestone quickly.
Auston Matthews, James Van-Riemsdyk and Nazem Kadri have already reached 20 goals and are hungry for more. The only player left to mention is Tyler Bozak, a fan-favourite to be the next Leaf shipped out via trade. In the meantime is on pace for a career high in points, good for Bozak for proving his worth to the team.
