In Dec I was told Leafs made 3 yr offer to Santorelli. Last night another source said it was 2 yr offer. He signed for a lot less with Ducks

A two or three year deal was turned down by a player who had to take a one year deal on one of the worst teams in the league to showcase himself doesn’t make much sense.
The only reason I can assume that he decided to turn down a raise and extended term is because he wanted absolutely nothing to do with the Toronto Maple Leafs – and, really, can you blame him?
