The first shoe dropped with Kyle Dubas assuming the title of General Manager. In the days which followed, a number of pieces fell into place.
Brandon Pridham was promoted, Dwight Schrute-style, from Assistant to the General Manager to the more simple title of Assistant General Manager. Next came Laurence Gilman’s hiring, brought in to assume Assistant General Manager duties while taking over operations of the Toronto Marlies.
And then…nothing. Not a peep. It’s become pretty quiet in the offices over at 40 Bay Street.
Too quiet.
Many have speculated that the Leafs will bring in a Lou Lamoriello-type executive to fill the “advisory” position that Lou forwent.
