As part of the planned 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Eastern and Western Conferences will each have a hub city designated for their games. The Toronto Maple Leafs are being considered for this hosting role.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that the country is allowing for three Canadian cities to be in consideration as a hub city for the NHL’s Return to Play Plan. The Toronto Maple Leafs are amongst those that could be playing host.
They are the only Canadian team currently in the conversation from the Eastern Conference, with the Vancouver Canucks or Edmonton Oilers named as potential teams that could see their cities take on the role for the Western Conference.
