When the Toronto Maple Leafs acquired Hyman from the Florida Panthers they got a hard working forward with offensive upside.
In his 16 game stint with the Toronto Maple Leafs last year, Hyman put up four goals and two assists – a 30 point pace over 82 games.
He played the majority of his 5v5 time (175 of 204 minutes) with William Nylander during his 16 games. His next common partner was P.A. Parenteau at 117 minutes of 5v5 time.
While a placement high enough in the lineup to play alongside Nylander might be a stretch for Hyman as far as maximum value goes, he still deserves to be a regular on the Toronto Maple Leafs.
