Tom Gulitti suggests in a recent article that Jacques Lemaire could be entertaining the possibility of joining the Toronto Maple Leafs in some capacity.
“I don’t know what’s going on, yet,” Lemaire said today. “I haven’t had the chance to talk to the new people (with the Devils). I’m waiting for a call.”
When asked if he might end up working for Lamoriello again with the Maple Leafs, Lemaire replied, “I don’t know, yet.” (Fire and Ice)
That speculation has turned into a reality. The Leafs have picked up Lemaire for the same position he held in New Jersey – special assignment coach.
