The Toronto Maple Leafs have reached the stage where they can no longer keep worrying about the future. In previous years it made sense to try and hold on to prospects and draft picks, but this core needs to win and win now.
Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Kyle Dubas must do everything possible to acquire the necessary piece(s) at this year’s NHL trade deadline.
There is no more time for being overly cautious.
Dubas needs to do whatever it takes to make this team the hardest to play against for the playoffs. For Toronto to go deep into the playoffs, they need to have a team capable of beating the Tampa Bay Lightning and Boston Bruins.
