In an under-the-radar move, the Toronto Marlies inked Maple Leafs defence prospect and 2018 fourth-round pick Mac Hollowell to an Amateur Tryout Offer on April 17th. News of the signing filtered out in the following two days.
Hollowell, who was one of the OHL’s best defencemen this past season, will officially join the Maple Leafs organization mere months after signing a three-year Entry Level Contract on March 17th.
It is unlikely that Hollowell will see game action for the Marlies, since the team is now in the midst of a first-round playoff series with the Rochester Americans.
