In a move that many saw coming, the Toronto Maple Leafs made a trade to make room for a returning William Nylander. Unfortunately, Josh Leivo was the one who drew the short straw.
The Maple Leafs send the 25-year old to the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for Michael Carcone, a 22-year old winger out of Ajax, Ontario.
The trade ends Leivo’s 84 game tenure with the team (Spread out over six seasons) and sends him to a rebuilding team that may end up using him more that the Leafs did during his time in Toronto.
