After inking the highly-coveted John Tavares in the midst of free agent frenzy, the Toronto Maple Leafs signing Josh Jooris was understandably overshadowed. To make it up to him, I’ve decided that the Burlington Ontario native deserves his share of the spotlight, in the form of a player profile.
The 27-year old played one 73-game season in the AHL with the Abbotsford Heat in 2013-14, followed by two games with the Adirondack Flames in 2014-15, a season that was cut short when he signed with the Calgary Flames. Jooris played in 60 games to cap off his debut season in the NHL, and managed to tally a respectable 12 goals and 24 points.
