Brandon Prust and Raman Hrabarenka have been extended PTO’s by the Toronto Maple Leafs for their upcoming training camp.
Neither of these players should make the Leafs, but they might end up patrolling the ice for the Toronto Marlies.
Prust is a fringe NHLer at this point in his career and doesn’t offer much to anyone. He certainly doesn’t justify taking the roster spot off of someone the Toronto Maple Leafs currently have under a real contract.
With Matt Martin signed for four years to provide body checks, grit and bad play, there isn’t much use for Brandon Prust.
