I’m thinking about the upcoming draft. I do this every year. The Toronto Maple Leafs’ season ends and my attention immediately shifts to the draft.
I feel this way even though the Maple Leafs don’t have a first round pick.
Despite this, I’ve come up with a short list of prospects that the Leafs could draft with the 53rd pick. Last time I covered Swedish winger Albin Grewe, this time we’re going to be looking at a fellow Swedish forward. His name is Simon Holmstrom.
Who is Simon Holmstrom?
Holmstrom is a 6’1, 185lb centre who’s playing for HV71 J20 of the SuperElit league, which is essentially Sweden’s version of the juniors.
