The Leafs met Nylander last week in Europe. They met his agent in NY this week. It’s obvious this is going to get done any minute. Sitting out the season isn’t an option for Nylander. It’s impossible to believe the Leafs are low-balling him so badly that he’d make it a point of principle not to sign. He’s not playing with Auston Matthews on any other team, so he’ll sign.
