Toronto Maple Leafs End Multiple Streaks in Win Over Flyers

The Toronto Maple Leafs put an end to several streaks Tuesday night as they beat the Philadelphia Flyers 3-2.
Toronto ended their five game losing streak by getting goals from Roman Polak, Joffrey Lupul and Matt Hunwick. The win slowed down the streaking Flyers who were 5-1-1 in their last seven games.

Matt Read got Philadelphia on the board first with a power play goal just after the halfway point of the first period. The lead would not hold up for long as Polak scored two minutes later to tie things up. It was Polak’s first goal in 62 games, as he was able to finish with a nice backhand effort.
