However, what we all forget when we make statements like the one above, is that the NHL season, if you play a couple rounds in the playoffs, is damn near 100 games and you can’t play every single one as if your life depends on it. Fact is, the Toronto Maple Leafs can turn it on and off at will, and a game like the one Wednesday on requires them to turn it on long enough to score a few goals.
Not the best strategy, but I do imagine it’s difficult to get too pumped about playing Ottawa in February.
