In a two day span in 2011, then Toronto Maple Leafs GM Brian Burke managed to trade a top-six forward, top pairing defender and starting goaltender.
Now, granted they were draft picks that hadn’t been selected at the time but that’s beside the point. Burke sucked and set this franchise back several years.
Here are the two trades Burke made so he could select two players that would never play a single NHL game.
