Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Frederik Andersen got hit by Corey Perry’s skate in the second period. The hit got the crowd in the ACC fired up since there was no call on the play, but it seemed it was an unintentional play from Perry’s end. Which probably is the first time in his career, considering his reputation.
Curtis McElhinney replaced Andersen and completed the game with a 0.938 save percentage, making fifteen saves on sixteen shots. After the game, Mike Babcock, however, brought relieving news for every Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Frederik Andersen seems fine but will be further evaluated on Tuesday, so fingers crossed.
