The Toronto Maple Leafs have added former Detroit Red Wings prospect Robert Mastrosimone to the Toronto Marlies roster after signing the NCAA graduate this past weekend.
While technically he isn’t signed to the Toronto Maple Leafs as the New York native signed an AHL deal with the the Marlies, he becomes a player the franchise can develop.
The Marlies announced via Twitter on Sunday afternoon that Mastrosimone had signed the deal.
The 22-year old was a former second round pick of the Detroit Red Wings from the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Selected 54th overall that year, Mastrosimone was taken one pick after current Maple Leafs prospect Nick Robertson.
