The Toronto Maple Leafs have a winning record, coming off of a 5-2 victory against the Red Wings on Saturday, but their overall play has been average.
Mike Babcock has made some questionable decisions, like leaving Kapanen on the Tavares line even though it’s clearly not working.
On top of this, Frederik Andersen has looked off to start the year. He has a record of 3-2, but along with that comes a 3.38 GAA and a save percentage of .886. He also let in seven goals against the Lightning on Thursday night.
But despite all of this, the Leafs have one of the most talented offensive teams in the league, and they’ve been to pull together wins because of it.
