Matt Murray and Ilya Samsonov were both signed to be a tandem for the Toronto Maple Leafs this season, but now that Murray is hurt, it’s all on Samsonov’s shoulders.
As much as we never like to predict injuries or hope for players to falter, Murray getting hurt was one of the biggest locks of the season. Nobody expected it to happen during morning-skate of his second game, but here we are.
Murray is currently on long-term injured reserve and should be back in a month or so, but what if he’s not?
