Toronto Maple Leafs 2017 Draft Watch: Conor Timmins

That puts the Toronto Maple Leafs in the thick of things for a couple of mid-round defenders. In this draft watch we’re going to look at Conor Timmins of the Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds.

Timmins isn’t on many scouting outlets radars. He’s ranked 81st by Future Considerations and 19th by McKeen’s Hockey.

After an unimpressive rookie season in the OHL where he recorded 13 points in 60 games, Timmins has upped that total to 54 points in 60 games this year. That’s a significant jump that can’t be ignored.

His six goals and 48 assists place him in a tie for 5th (currently) with Filip Hronek (2nd rd/2016 DET) in OHL defender scoring.
