Any fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs remembers the game-seven collapse against the Boston Bruins in 2013. Toronto had a 4-1 lead in the third period and blew it. Since then, fans have been plagued with the “it was 4-1 insult” from other fan bases.
Last night, the Toronto Maple Leafs were trailing 4-1 in the third period. With 10:16 left in the third period, Toronto began their epic comeback. First, it was the goal by Auston Matthews with 10:16 left to make it a 4-2 game. Then with 7:31 left, Matthews tips in a point shot by William Nylander on the power play, and it is now a 4-3 game.
