Last night's Marlies game was a tale of two good periods leading to a win. The Marlies were strong in the first and second, but in the third they took the foot off the gas, coasting in for a win. The Marlies beat the Comets 4-1, and shots on goal were 35-23 for the home side.
Comets looked disengaged in the second and the Marlies controlled everything all over the ice. Coach Keefe said of this period, "I thought we played better, we responded better in terms of keeping the lead and responding after they'd get a goal" in regards to the difference in last night's game and today's game.
