I was really hoping we could have avoided this, but after losing game 6 in Toronto by a score of 4-2 the Toronto Maple Leafs will once again have to beat the Boston Bruins in their home arena in a game 7. It was a game for the taking, but the Bruins capitalized on their power play chances while the Leafs... didn’t. They also did not look as dominant at 5 on 5 as they had in previous games.
So... onto game bloody seven, again.
My quick Wikipedia search found that the Leafs have played in 23 game 7’s in their history, with an all-time record of 12 wins and 11 losses.
