Hockey Canada announced the final roster for the 2018 Olympics at noon EST today. Among the 14 forwards, 6 defenders and 3 goaltenders on the Olympic roster were two Furies and three members of the Thunder.
Toronto defender Renata Fast and Markham forward Laura Stacey will make their Olympic debuts this February. This is the second Olympic Games for Furies forward Natalie Spooner and Thunder defenders Laura Fortino and Jocelyne Larocque (Larocque also centralized in 2010 but did not make the team).
Renata Fast, with four points and 16 penalty minutes in her 29 games of centralization, was one of the players most in doubt to make the team.
