James Reimer’s memorable and sometimes tumultuous time in Toronto has come to an end.
On Saturday the Leafs announced the trade of Reimer, along with forward Jeremy Morin to the San Jose Sharks.
In exchange, Toronto acquired goalie Alex Stalock, forward Ben Smith, and a conditional fourth-round draft pick in 2018.
Garret Sparks has been recalled from the Marlies of the AHL to serve as the backup goalie to Jonathan Bernier, for the Leafs’ game in Montreal.
