Teams like the Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators, and Chicago Blackhawks have some decisions to consider leading up to the NHL trade deadline.

After NHL clubs go through their bye week and All-Star break this weekend, there will be less than a month until the February 24th trade deadline. There is a desire among some league GM’s to make a move well in advance of the deadline, as the Toronto Maple Leafs did with the trade for Jake Muzzin on January 25th last season, but deals for impact rentals like Chris Kreider, Tyler Toffoli, and Jean-Gabriel Pageau may have to wait until the eleventh hour unless an interested team blows New York, Los Angeles or Ottawa away with a deal they can’t refuse.
